Alexander Kirkeby (Denmark, 1992) is a glassblower and designer. His work balances within the tension between a mastery of the craft and the material’s own chaotic being. With clear glass as the medium of the work, he interprets archetypal objects standing on the pillars of traditional glass techniques with a modern take. Shapes and decoration are deformed, flowing in and out of each other, manifesting as modern designs and functional objects.
